A Shopping Celebration!

Happy Friday!  It's Kim.  In planning for today's post, I was browsing all of my Fresh Squeezed Stamps to figure out what I hadn't used yet that I really wanted to showcase.

I came up with the teeny, tiny shopping cart from Breath of Fresh Flair.  I've done quite a bit with this set, but the cute shopping cart hasn't seen ink. Given that I love making cards that are designed around gift cards - it all seemed like a perfect fit.  I ran to the store and picked up an Amazon gift card (mainly because if I don't end up giving this card to anyone, I can use it myself!!)

The sentiment comes from You Said It, Sister.  The original plan was to die cut the gift card holder from patterned paper, but I love this very useful diagonal striped border stamp from Background Check and decided to use it instead!  The set also has four other handy border stamps but I particularly love the open stripes of this one.  I use it somewhat regularly down the sides of my cards with a little twine like this simple card.

Have a great weekend!  I hope there is a little celebration or some fun shopping in your future!  -Kim

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey, Fresh Squeezed friends!  Stacey here with a scrappy take on a Valentine's Day card! When I create valentines, I can't help but remember way back when...back when I was a kid cutting and gluing special valentines for my friends in elementary school!

I inked up the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment from When Hearts Collide and created a scrappy banner of sorts with images from Love Signs.  After stamping three images, I circle punched them and stitched them over a panel of vellum heart and bitty kraft bag with some decorative pom pom trim, buttons and twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today!  Have a wonderful rest of your week!  - Stacey

Romantic Tag

Hello there!  Sarah here with something a little sweet and romantic today!  Cross stitch influences are everywhere in paper crafting right now, and this gorgeous example from Love Signs is right on trend!

I paired it with some soft colors, lace and that beautiful bliss banner stamp for a romantic look.  Stamping in chocolate rather than black adds to the softer look of this tag.

I love tags, they make a simple gift really stand out!  My little bag of chocolates is also stamped with one of the sentiments from When Hearts Collide - these two sets work so well together!

Do you like bold, bright Valentines or is romantic and soft more your style?  I like both! Happy creating!  -Sarah

Customize Your Own Sentiment!

Hello, dear Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here with your Monday FSS post! I want to share a birthday card that I created for my daughter's friend who was turning 25! Now 25 is really a very special age for a young lady!

First I gathered my supplies: Take a Number clear stamp set, pattern paper, yellow clear button, gold strings, ready-made banners and some washi tape.

All I had to do was stamp and emboss the sentiment in gold.  Clear stamps are perfect for that.  As long as you line up the stamps, you can create this sentiment in two easy steps!

Take a Number

With Take a Number, you can create ANY sentiment that suits the occasion!  I was told that the birthday girl loved this card to pieces.  :)  Thanks for stopping by!  -Virginia

Let's play a LOVE game

Hello and Happy Saturday Fresh-Squeezed fans!  Katie here to share a little LOVE game I made using When Hearts Collide and Games People Play.

First, I die cut some thin lines from black cardstock and glued them to white cardstock with a glue pen. Using a computer, you could also create and print the tic tac toe grid onto a cardstock panel or draw your grid with a black marker.  Next I replaced the traditional "O's" with one of the small hearts from When Hearts Collide stamped in red ink.

The "X's" are from Games People Play.  I stamped the sentiment, also from When Hearts Collide in black ink, matted the stamped panel on black cardstock and adhered it to a white cardstock base.

Three hearts in a row!  Looks like Love Sweet Love has won this game!  :)  That's all for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  -Katie

Bold Bliss and Pastel Love

Happy Friday everyone!  It's Kim.  I have been having so much fun with the new sets Love Signs and When Hearts Collide.  What I like most about these sets is their flexibility.  Some stamps are cute - some are masculine - some are graphic - some are traditional - they can work in so many ways.  I used a few stamps from both to create this bold card.

I love the bliss banner and I particularly love the arrow.  It's not just one big stamp, it's in two parts so can be used on small hearts and big hearts.

I'm doing a two-fer today.  Every time that I have posted a card with either of these sets, I comment on their flexibility.  But every card that I make is bright and bold.  It's no wonder since I am surrounded by men and boys and I simply don't have much use for soft and sweet Valentines.  Whether or not I have any use for it, I have wanted to use this next stamp.  My mother and I have two obsessions hobbies in common - we loved to cross-stitch (or really any other kind of needlework) and we loved to make cards.  So this card is a tribute to my mom.

Hope you have a "bliss"ful and love-filled weekend!!   -Kim

I'll Owl-Ways Love You

Good morning stamping friends! Lesley here sharing a card I made using the sweetest Fresh Squeezed stamp set called Hootie Who? This owl themed set was one I had on my wishlist for a LONG time! I adore owls! They are throughout my classroom decor and I own about 10 different owl mugs.

The small flags were created with some strips of red card stock scraps and then using a square punch to create the little v's in the strip....making small flags.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see what Kim has in store!

Love Sweet Love

Hey there, Fresh Squeezed Stamps friends! Stacey here! Valentine's Day will be here in less than one month. With my card today, I wanted to show how you can stretch your stamps by using Friendly Folk and When Hearts Collide together!

I inked up the sheep, house and stitching from Friendly Folk on to an oval...the red hearts, XOXO and "love sweet love" from When Hearts Collide onto some coordinating patterned papers, and fussy cut the sheep and placed him "peek-a-boo" style behind the house oval panel. I adore those sweet little hearts puffing out of the chimney!

I hope you are inspired to create a valentine for someone special today! Have a wonderful rest of your week! - Stacey

Pretty Pink Birthday

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans!  Sarah here with a back to basics...really basic...card for a pretty pink princess on her first birthday!

Often I find myself caught up with the latest gadgets and needing a reminder of why I love this craft in the first place - the simple joy of lifting a stamp and seeing that magical image transferred to paper!  I have a one layer card today using, count 'em - 1,2,3,4 Fresh Squeezed Stamp sets!  Don't they work so well together?

I had a vision of pink birthday balloons floating over a city.  I stamped in three shades of pink ink - the skyline from On Trend 2013, balloons from Life of the Party, little hearts (to match the heart window in the skyline - have you ever noticed that?) from When Hearts Collide and sentiment from Take a Number.

I think this could easily be turned into a sweet Valentine's card by switching to a sentiment from When Hearts Collide or A Punny Valentine!

Thanks for joining us today, I hope you get to enjoy the simple joy of touching stamp to paper today!   -Sarah
