Hang in There

Hello there!  Sarah here sharing a little card perfect to boost a friend's spirits. As I'm coming to the end of my time with Fresh Squeezed Stamps, I wanted to revisit my first set, String Me Along!

I paper pieced the lanterns, using a foam mat and large ball stylus to shape them before adhering with foam dots. It gives them a lovely rounded appearance.  Here's another view of the piecing...

I know a card like this would brighten my day for sure! Have a wonderful and creative day!  -Sarah

Sent with Love

Hello, Fresh Squeezed fans and happy Saturday! Katie here today. It's funny how once the tree is down and the calendar turns the page, our thoughts turn to Valentine's Day. I have a card to share today that (closer to the big day) will be sent with love.

I stamped the envelope from String Me Along onto a scrap of cream cardstock.  To make the open flap, I simply rotated the stamp 180 degrees and stamped the envelope again. I trimmed away the excess of the top envelope image and was left with an open envelope. I scored and creased the flap to give it a bit more dimension.

The hearts are also from String Me Along.  Using a craft knife, I separated the heart from the envelope.  The end result gives me a lot of flexibility and a cute little heart stamp!  I stamped the airplane, sentiment and trail from The Envelope, Please, then added the twine and a few sequins.  I would say love is definitely in the air!

Well, that's all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by!  -Katie

Hope You Hung in There!!!

Happy Friday Fresh Squeezed friends!  It's Kim here with another fun Friday project to share!

I love the holidays - I really do - but I also let out a big "whew" when it is over.  It was a huge relief to make this non-holiday card. I actually made it before Christmas and the "hang in there" sentiment seemed particularly meaningful as I was entering the final stretch of baking, wrapping, rehearsing, etc. But obviously this card could be used for so much more than survival of the holidays - everybody needs a "hang in there" boost once in awhile!

The stamps used come from String Me Along; which is one of my favorite all-purpose sets.  I love its variety of sweet images.

String Me Along

I hope you all survived (and enjoyed) your holidays; that you have let out a big "whew"; and that you are looking forward to the new year!  -Kim

A Tennis Shoe Christmas

Happy Friday everyone!  It's Kim!  I know you're probably all done with thinking about Christmas so I really shouldn't be posting a Christmas card today.  But Fresh Squeezed Stamps came to my rescue on the 24th and I wanted to share.

We had planned to give my 13-year old son his pick of basketball shoes for Christmas. This is somewhat different from our usual approach in which he wants the most expensive and we refuse to buy anything but the cheapest!!  His gift was to pick out his own (within reason) without us complaining about the price!  As I was finishing up on Christmas Eve it occurred to me that he wouldn't have anything from us under the tree because he would have to go shopping for his own shoes after Christmas.  He's still so young - I HAD to have something for him to open up.  Fresh Squeezed and their cute tennis shoe from String Me Along came to the rescue!!

If you knew my 13-year old son, you would understand why I also HAD to include the "nice 2b naughty" graphic from Hello December!  (BTW - if you like the idea but not for Christmas, On Trend 2013 has a great birthday word bubble that could replace the "naughty" circle!  That set is also where I got the swoosh that I used for the ground.)

On Trend 2013                           Hello December

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are now looking forward to the new year!!

Made With Love

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans!  Sarah back this week, and I'm taking a break from Holiday cards to share a card perfect to congratulate a new pregnancy or baby. I've combined String Me Along and Say Anything today.

Rather than keeping with all pink or blue, I've used both and matched the ink to the patterned paper (Cut and Paste Flair by MME).

I did a little stamp surgery to create this card!  I really wanted a heart stamped on the onesie from String Me Along, so I cut apart one of the sentiments in Say Anything.  I embossed the hearts in white and trimmed out the images, popping them up with foam dots.  The sentiment was curved slightly before stamping on a banner die cut.  Here's the inside of the card...

I've used just the "hello" from the Hello Handsome sentiment for a take on hello baby!

Have you been creating exclusively for Christmas or do you need to take a break every now and then?  I sure do!   -Sarah

Shine Brightly

Hi, everyone! Heather P. here with a fun, sparkly gift tag!

To create my tag, I started with a green piece of cardstock, which was stamped with the polka dot strip from You Said It, Sister, and heat embossed with clear powder.  After that, I cut pieces of white and purple cardstock, angling the bottoms.

Once that was done, I stamped the sentiment from Say Anything with gray ink, and the lanterns from String Me Along with Memento ink.  I colored the lanterns with Copics, then lined up the cardstock pieces before rounding the corners.  To finish up, I used pop dots to give the tag a little dimension between the layers, added stickles to the lanterns and purple cardstock, then unraveled some purple/white twine.

That's it for me today, be sure to come back tomorrow for more FSS inspiration!

Celebrate

Happy Saturday!  It's Heather Campbell here!  I have a happy, clean and simple card to share today.

To create this card, I stamped the bows first, then I added the string and then light bulbs. To add color to the light bulbs, I masked the outside of them and used a sponge dauber and an ink pad to add color!  I use this technique a lot because of the neat texture it adds to the images!  All the images are from String Me Along and the sentiment is from Everyday Expressions.

Have a great day!

Stitched Starry Banner

Hello!  It's Heather Campbell here! Today I'm sharing a card I made still inspired by the stitched stars from Weather Through.  When I saw the stitching, I completely envisioned these stars being stitched and tied together.  So, I had to bring it to life on a card.

The bows are from String Me Along and the sentiment is from Words to Live By.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Light Me Up

Hi, everyone! Heather P. here with fun little CAS card that's sure to brighten your day. *wink*

To create my card, I started with a white card base, then stamped the string, bows and lanterns from String Me Along before coloring the light bulbs with stickles and adding bling.

While the stickles were drying, I stamped a polka dot strip from You Said It, Sister onto the card base, and then added a ribbon and bow.  Next, I adhered the cardstock portion of the sentiment to the card, and then finished up by stamping the remainder of my sentiment and a little lightning bug.

Across The Miles!

Happy Monday, dear Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here! Today I am sharing a simple card with you.

Sometimes the stamped images can speak volumes, you hardly need to do any fancy techniques or tricks to showcase them! I simply mixed and matched the two stamp sets and had a ton of fun creating a happy scene! This almost one layer card is perfect for mailing!

String Me Along                                     The Envelope, Please

Can you tell which stamps I used? I used 9 stamps in total from String Me Along and The Envelope, Please! Be sure to come back for more inspiration from our DT! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just a Note

Good morning! Erin here with a CAS note card that is perfect for mailing... nothing lumpy or bumpy that will add extra postage!

I used a sticky note to mask the envelope stamp (from String Me Along), starting at the top and working my way down.  After stamping the envelopes I stamped the sentiment, mounted the stamped panel onto red cardstock, and that's it!  I love having a bunch one one layer cards handy for sending a quick note to a friend.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by and check back tomorrow for more fabulous inspiration using Fresh Squeezed Stamps!

Let's Celebrate

Hi Fresh Squeezed Fans!  Tracey here with a festive birthday card.

I stamped the wire and lanterns from String Me Along with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored the lanterns in bright summery colors.  I nested together two of the sentiments from Everyday Expressions and stamped them in the bottom corner of my card and finally stamped and coloured two stars from Weather Through around the sentiment. Once again I used Copic markers to color my images.

Hope you have a fantastic day and check back in tomorrow here at the blog for some more Fresh Squeezed inspiration!

String Me Along | Birthday

Good morning! Erin here with another card using the fabulous String Me Along set that I can't seem to put down.

For this card, I used the cute little lantern/light to create a birthday card. I love how each of the images hangs from the large "string" image... so cute for birthday and celebration cards! I stamped the light with Memento ink, then colored in the bulb and lid of the jar with Copic markers. I added the "Happy Birthday to You" sentiment (from Happy Hexagons) in black Archival Ink. I added a few hand cut banners and some sequins to finish off the card

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
