Happy Valentine's Day with Close Your Ears: Deer

Happy Valentine's Day!  It's Kim!

When I realized that I would be posting here for Valentine's Day - I knew that I would be using one of the great love/heart sets. I picked When Hearts Collide.  I didn't picture using the deer from Close Your Ears: Deer, but I think it's just perfect with the "Love Sweet Love" sentiment.

I have made 3 or 4 Valentine's for my husband this year and none have been quite right...but this is it! Thank you Fresh Squeezed Stamps!!

When Hearts Collide                    Close Your Ears: Deer

Hope you have a happy love day.  If you are doing it solo, perhaps a glass of wine and some extra crafting time!  If you are with a loved one...perhaps a great dinner, then a glass of wine and some extra crafting time!

Love, Kim

Love Sweet Love

Happy Thursday, Fresh Squeezed friends! We're just one day away from Valentine's Day - how exciting! Lesley here sharing a card I made for a friend's anniversary using the "potty" people from Breath of Fresh Flair and the love-ly sentiment from When Hearts Collide.

I had fun mixing some fun papers and embellishments to make this card!  I cut a heart doily in half and added some star sequins for added interest.

Hand-stitched with Love!

Happy Monday, Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here!  As Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I thought it would be perfect to share a card that I made for a special someone.

The design is really simple.  I chose the handwritten heart from When Hearts Collide and did some stitching.  Can't sew or no sewing machine?  No problem! The easiest way to do this type of stitching is to pierce the holes with a paper-piercer first - a thumbtack will also work!  Then you can hand-stitch the holes.

You can incorporate any colors to your design.  I chose red to accentuate the design. Hand-stitching is ideal for adding interest and textures to a simple design.  It's well worth the effort, don't you think?!

Hope you get inspired and try some hand-stitching if you haven't already. Thanks for stopping by!  -Virginia

Close Your Ears: Deer is the first in our series of edgy, chuckle-out-loud stamps that are meant to make you do a double-take and then grin from ear to ear!  This 2 x 4 mini set features a studly stag and two hilarious sentiments perfect for say, a belated birthday or compliment of any kind!

Close Your Ears: Deer

The design team did an outstanding job creating unique and quite different cards with this set.  This mini is great for a foundation, allowing you to add lots of bits and bobs from some of our other fabulous stamp sets.  Check these out...

Katie Gehring's card is crisp and clean, gender neutral, and downright adorable! Forget that ol' singing Billy Bass plaque (remember those?!), Katie's got her own Donny Deer to make her smile!

Virginia Lu's taken a mod interpretation of this gold lamé rack and multi-hued stag -- always fashion forward, we say!  Sparkly gold sequins round out this ensemble, along with a wooden runway created with our Background Check stamp set.  Strike a pose!

Stacey Schafer's made a fabulous masculine card using some trendy elements like gold ink and vellum!  She's also used a border and sentiment from our set called Say Anything. Love the stitching and rustic twine/button combo!

Lesley Croghan really mixed it up with this birthday card for her mom!  Fabulous colors and patterns, and a fun use of sentiments from Take A Number and When Hearts Collide, give this card lots of pizzaz!

Sarah Gough made great use of coordinating patterned paper on her card.  Love the Happy Birthday speech bubble from On Trend 2013.  Everything's perfectly mounted, too!  Pardon the pun...

Kim Singdahlsen put her expert skills to use with this woodsy, masculine version.  That woodgrain embossed background is perfect with the flecked cream card stock -- clean, simple and just the right touch of color for *pop*!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey, Fresh Squeezed friends!  Stacey here with a scrappy take on a Valentine's Day card! When I create valentines, I can't help but remember way back when...back when I was a kid cutting and gluing special valentines for my friends in elementary school!

I inked up the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment from When Hearts Collide and created a scrappy banner of sorts with images from Love Signs.  After stamping three images, I circle punched them and stitched them over a panel of vellum heart and bitty kraft bag with some decorative pom pom trim, buttons and twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today!  Have a wonderful rest of your week!  - Stacey

Romantic Tag

Hello there!  Sarah here with something a little sweet and romantic today!  Cross stitch influences are everywhere in paper crafting right now, and this gorgeous example from Love Signs is right on trend!

I paired it with some soft colors, lace and that beautiful bliss banner stamp for a romantic look.  Stamping in chocolate rather than black adds to the softer look of this tag.

I love tags, they make a simple gift really stand out!  My little bag of chocolates is also stamped with one of the sentiments from When Hearts Collide - these two sets work so well together!

Do you like bold, bright Valentines or is romantic and soft more your style?  I like both! Happy creating!  -Sarah

Let's play a LOVE game

Hello and Happy Saturday Fresh-Squeezed fans!  Katie here to share a little LOVE game I made using When Hearts Collide and Games People Play.

First, I die cut some thin lines from black cardstock and glued them to white cardstock with a glue pen. Using a computer, you could also create and print the tic tac toe grid onto a cardstock panel or draw your grid with a black marker.  Next I replaced the traditional "O's" with one of the small hearts from When Hearts Collide stamped in red ink.

The "X's" are from Games People Play.  I stamped the sentiment, also from When Hearts Collide in black ink, matted the stamped panel on black cardstock and adhered it to a white cardstock base.

When Hearts Collide                         Games People Play

Three hearts in a row!  Looks like Love Sweet Love has won this game!  :)  That's all for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  -Katie

Bold Bliss and Pastel Love

Happy Friday everyone!  It's Kim.  I have been having so much fun with the new sets Love Signs and When Hearts Collide.  What I like most about these sets is their flexibility.  Some stamps are cute - some are masculine - some are graphic - some are traditional - they can work in so many ways.  I used a few stamps from both to create this bold card.

I love the bliss banner and I particularly love the arrow.  It's not just one big stamp, it's in two parts so can be used on small hearts and big hearts.

I'm doing a two-fer today.  Every time that I have posted a card with either of these sets, I comment on their flexibility.  But every card that I make is bright and bold.  It's no wonder since I am surrounded by men and boys and I simply don't have much use for soft and sweet Valentines.  Whether or not I have any use for it, I have wanted to use this next stamp.  My mother and I have two obsessions hobbies in common - we loved to cross-stitch (or really any other kind of needlework) and we loved to make cards.  So this card is a tribute to my mom.

Hope you have a "bliss"ful and love-filled weekend!!   -Kim

Love Sweet Love

Hey there, Fresh Squeezed Stamps friends! Stacey here! Valentine's Day will be here in less than one month. With my card today, I wanted to show how you can stretch your stamps by using Friendly Folk and When Hearts Collide together!

I inked up the sheep, house and stitching from Friendly Folk on to an oval...the red hearts, XOXO and "love sweet love" from When Hearts Collide onto some coordinating patterned papers, and fussy cut the sheep and placed him "peek-a-boo" style behind the house oval panel. I adore those sweet little hearts puffing out of the chimney!

I hope you are inspired to create a valentine for someone special today! Have a wonderful rest of your week! - Stacey
