Hello Handsome

Hello Fresh Squeezed friends! Sarah here, sharing a clean and simple but oh-so-sweet layout for a baby card today!

My cousin's wife just had a beautiful baby boy, so the 'hello handsome' sentiment from Say Anything was perfect! I wanted to paper piece the bear from Arctic Friends, so pulled out some blue scraps from my stash. I often like to lightly sponge the edges of my paper pieces for a little added interest and dimension.

I cut apart the paw image so I could give him some top paws as well as little feet - you could also just mask off one paw if you don't like to perform stamp surgery!

I used a natural flecked cream card base to keep everything soft and match the sponging.  Diagonals are hot right now! I accented the die cut strip with a bow tied on the diagonal.  Do you like to paper piece? I find cutting out cute images soothing!

You're 1 of a Kind!

Dear Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here with Monday's post. Today's card is a fun one that will make any receiver smile!

This one layer card is simple but it sure has a big impact. I started out with stamping the main penguin image. Then I stamped and cut out another using a thin piece of paper. I used it as a mask and stamped the rest of  the penguins.

At the end, it's the final touch that makes a card a WOW! I created the bow using the Ribbon Bow Punch with two small bows (just trim off the bottom part). Add a sequin, done! And....oh, don't forget to add a bit of Glossy Accents on the beaks to give them a little shine!

Merry & Bright Wishes from Twin Polar Bears!

Happy Friday!  It's Kim!  I hadn't used the bear yet from Arctic Friends.  As I was pondering what to do with this cute stamp, I was remembering twin polar bears born almost 20-years ago in my local zoo.  Their mother abandoned them, but zoo staff successfully raised them.  It was quite an experience for the entire city - we all stood in line to see them, books were written about them - they were famous!  These stamps aren't quite as cute as the real baby cubs - but pretty darn close!!

The Merry and Bright sentiment bubbles come from Hello December.

Have a happy weekend - hope you can find some crafting time during the busy holiday season!!   -Kim

Love from Wallrus

Hello Fresh Squeezed friends!  Sarah back today with a card brimming with cuteness!  I know you love the Arctic Friends set as much as I do, and it was high time I stamped the walrus.  I think he just might be my favorite of the three cute critters you can build with this set!

My layout today is from CAS(E) this sketch #57.  I colored with Copics, using pointillism for some added texture.  The sentiment is also from Arctic Friends and the little heart is part of a sentiment I cut apart from Say Anything.  I inked and stamped the heart once, then reinked just the base and stamped again for simple shading.

Don't they just melt your heart?! Thanks for joining us today, make sure to pop back tomorrow for more Fresh Squeezed inspiration!  -Sarah

A Card with a Gift!

Happy Monday! It's Virginia here! Recently I bought an envelope punch board and I have been inspired to create a gift card insert for cards. Here's what I came up with.

we wish you a Merry Christmas (1)-2

After making the small envelope for the gift card (measures 2-1/2" x 3"), I adhered it to my stamped design. Here is the fun twist!  I stamped inside of the paper and when you open the gift card, here is what you see

close-up-2

Ta-da! I had personalized this card for the recipient. This truly is a fun way to give the card receiver a bit of a wow factor, don't ya think?

Wintery Birthday Wishes

Good morning, Fresh Squeezed Stamps lovers!  It's winter..it's cold...arctic, actually! This card is my attempt at embracing the recent arctic blast that made it's way through our neck of the woods recently.

I created this girly birthday card using the new Arctic Friends and Everyday Expressions. My dear daughter, Hannah, has a birthday party to attend and she loves this wintery walrus with a little bloom on her head!

Holiday Photobomb

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans! Katie Gehring here with a #HolidayFun card to share using Arctic Friends.  I heard that the word of the year for 2013 is "selfie," so my card represents what might happen if the cutie penguin from Arctic Friends attempted a selfie...

....he gets photobombed by his friend, the walrus!

I covered my card base with a panel and strip of patterned paper.  I then die cut a photo frame from patterned paper and on a piece of white cardstock, I stamped the penguin, masked the penguin and stamped the walrus.  I added the shading to the walrus along with a pale background with markers.

I stamped the sentiment from Hello December onto the photo frame. A button and bit of twine added a finishing touch.  I have to say, with a face like that, I would welcome a walrus photobomb any time!

That's all for me today!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great Saturday!

A Merry Walrus

Happy Friday!  It's Kim and I'm definitely happy it's Friday because it's my day here at Fresh Squeezed Stamps!

I have never tried the chalkboard technique, and as I was thinking about this post, I realized that Fresh Squeezed Stamps had the perfect stamps for it.  A happy walrus from Arctic Friends, sitting in the ice and snow, wishing us a merry time!  ("Merry" is from Hello December.  I love the woodgrain on it.)

Hmmm...I've used the penguin from the set and now the walrus.  I wonder what I should do with the bear???  :)

Arctic Friends                            Hello December

I hope you have enjoyed this quick peek at one of the Arctic Friends!!  There have been so many cute cards on this blog since the set was released a week ago - and I'm sure there are many more to come.   -Kim

1 of a Kind

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans!  Sarah back today with a card featuring both of the new stamp sets released this month, Take a Number and Arctic Friends.  I had the stamps out on my desk and was thinking of the cute little penguin from Happy Feet, he was totally one of a kind right? So that was the inspiration for my card!

I masked and stamped the penguins in soft charcoal ink, adding in one extra special, one of a kind penguin in teal. I added a little shading and some rosy cheeks with Copic markers.

I dotted a little Stickles glitter glue in the background to mimic snow and kept everything else very simple, color blocking with a scalloped edge and the bright orange card base.

Thanks for stopping by today, happy stamping!

We hope everyone is enjoying the days leading up to Thanksgiving (here in the U.S.), and generally looking forward to the holidays ahead. Things are likely to get hectic, so we're glad you decided to join us for the Day 1 festivities. Grab a cuppa' and enjoy this fun new set!

Arctic Friends are the cutest, coolest buddies you'll ever have! These fun critters go together like igloos and Eskimos, so assemble an adorable penguin, polar bear & walrus…and you've got yourself a polar party! Naturally, we've thrown in some punny sentiments, too!

Arctic Friends

Arctic Friends Example Sheet

What a great bunch o' guys we have here! Katie Gehring put this card together perfectly (love that one in the back…kinda photo bombed it, right?!) The bold colors, all tied together with baker's twine, puts a crisp, clean finish on this great project!

Katie Gehring

Lesley Croghan created a fantastic gift set that shows off the perky penguin from our new Arctic Friends, plus a couple other great Fresh Squeezed Stamps sets -- that's Subway Series: Holidays over on the gift bag and the "you warm my heart" sentiment is from our very popular Hot, Hot, Hot set. Super cute!!

Lesley Croghan

Ack! This polar bear, tumbling along in his snow globe or the big Arctic sky, is just as cute as can be! Sarah Gough did an outstanding job putting together this card that you just can't bear to scroll further…

Sarah Gough

…but you must so you can check out what she's done inside! Hey, that just might be a little sneak at another new set…

Sarah Gough (interior)

Look what Kim Singdahlsen did with this penguin, wrapped up in that ribbon scarf…fancy schmancy with the touches of gold! The bokeh patterned paper, with more gold, ties in perfectly. That sentiment is from You Said It, Sister. This is an iceberg of adorableness!

Kim Singdahlsen

Group shot! Virginia Lu put a very colorful touch on these guys, adding a great banner that'll put a smile on your face. A perfect card for your office stash, for sure!

Virginia Lu

Chilly Willy would be proud of this little guy, all covered in glittery snow and having a ball among the snowflakes! Stacey Schafer did a great job on this card, using so many fun elements and layers. I think I see some "holiday fun" thrown in there using Hello December!
