Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy

Happy Friday! It's Kim!  When FSS did a spring cleaning a few weeks ago, one of the sets really caught my eye. It's funny how that works - a set will come out but until you see it used in a certain way, you manage to keep it out of your personal stash.  Then suddenly, you see someone use it, or you notice a particular sentiment - and it becomes a favorite! That's what happened to me with Sublime Citrus.  I finally noticed that cute little citrus slice with a heart and the fantastic sentiment "easy peasy, lemon squeezy" - LOVE it!

Sadly for me, it is the end of my term with Fresh Squeezed Stamps.  It has been a wonderful experience using these fun, unique and very fresh (!) stamps. I thought I would leave you with a card made from a few of my original favorites along with this new favorite stamp set.

The simple little circles come from a set that has been a favorite of mine since the beginning - On Trend 2013.   It's full of sparkles and circles and gems - also city skylines and photo frames.  It's just a wonderful all-around set!  The border is another favorite - it comes from Background Check.  I think I'm going to wear out this diagonal stripe!

Hope you have an "easy peasy" and relaxing weekend!  -Kim

But wait, before you get too excited, we want to let you know that we've got another giveaway!  There are several ways to enter, and all the details are just below...

First up is Katie Gehring's card that squeezes in all the beautiful colors of our unofficial namesake set, Sublime Citrus!  You've gotta love the overlapping slices in this blocked homage to sunny places (and perhaps some juicy beverages!)

Next up to bat is Stacey Schafer with Say Anything!  She's used the cool border stamped in gold and the sentiment especially for an awesome coach.  The neutral tones in her patterned paper, along with a little splatter, make this card a home run!

Lesley Croghan's fresh take on Weather Through reminds me a bit of Mary Poppins' flying umbrellas -- makes me smile just thinking about it!  Colorful paper piecing and an eye catching addition to her sentiment really make this card - supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Kim Singdahlsen mixes two parts sparkliness with one part fun sentiment to give us a Fresh Squeezed mock-tail! Using the Sublime Citrus set, lots of glitter, and a dash of Background Check, Kim's card is definitely shaken, not stirred!

Virginia Lu uses faux stitching to give us a handmade beauty using the Weather Through set.  Her umbrella is preciously paper pieced and reminds us that April showers bring May flowers!

Sarah Gough knitted one and purled two with this awesome card using Mother Knows Best! The ball of yarn is perfectly colored and everything about this card says women and crafts just go together!  Love the layout and die-cut pieces...any grandma would be thrilled to get this card!

Spring Cleaning - Day 1

Surprise! Today we've got our newest stamp set, Close Your Ears: Deer for sale in our online store! Grab 'em while they last -- it's going to be the new "little black dress" of your stamp collection.

Close Your Ears: Deer

Forget about those winter storms and start planning for warmer weather by joining Fresh Squeezed Stamps in some SPRING CLEANING!! Our design team has pulled out some of the most loved Fresh Squeezed Stamps sets, polished up the ol' ink pads, and are ready to show off some brand new cards using some old favorites.

Today we're GIVING AWAY one of these favorites -- there are several ways to enter today's giveaway, and all the details are just below...

Sarah Gough has stitched up a comfy, cozy card using our Friendly Folk set, which has lots of rustic, primitive images and a real homey feel. The wooden button and twine are the perfect finishing touches, too!

Virginia Lu's looking toward spring with a garden full of fresh veggies and colorful watering cans! These spectacular watercolored cans, along with all the other fun images and sentiments, are from our Mother Knows Best set.

Kim Singdahlsen dusted off the favorite, Weather Through, a set packed with lots of meteorological images (ooh, big word!) and great sentiments you won't find anywhere else. Kim's made a standout card with her poppin' color scheme and clean style. Love the sequin raindrops, no doubt from a cloud with a silver lining!

It's all about some sunshine we're hoping for to melt the cold and bring on springtime! Lesley Croghan gets us in the mood with her sweet and cheerful card using Sublime Citrus. If you like puns as much as we do, this is a must-have set!

Katie Gehring's inspired ingenuity brings us a great new take on the Weather Through set! She's heat embossed the moon and stars and added die-cut clouds for texture. Love the sprinkle of sequins and the little pennant. Did we mention the sentiments in this set are unique?! Out of the box, folks, think outside that box!

Stacey Schafer's card is a HOOT, and just the prettiest little thing ever!  She's used our Hootie Who? set, which is full of lots of fun owls and great sentiments.  Love the doilies and tiny hearts, plus that black floral and striped patterned paper and punny sentiment round out this adorable card.

Make Everyday Special

Want to join the Fresh Squeezed Stamps design team?  We're accepting applications now!  More info HERE!

Happy Monday, dear Fresh Squeezed friends!  Virginia here sharing two cards that were created with the same sets, Sublime Citrus (images) and Everyday Expressions (sentiment).  Although summer is coming to an end, that shouldn't stop us from using this summery set that can be used for all-occasion projects!

For my first card, I randomly stamped the background with the citrus fruit and added some embellishments and faux stitching with white gel pen.

For my second card, I stamped the fruit and used them as the main focus for the card. Notice the lemon?  I used the "rock 'n roll" technique to create different shades of yellow. If you're not familiar with the technique, Splitcoaststampers has a great tutorial you can find here.

                            Everyday Expressions                         Sublime Citrus

Does that gives you some ideas as to how to stretch your stamp sets!?  I hope our Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog posts make your every day special!

A Little Pink Lemonade

Hey there! Leigh here with a card that I made using two new sets that were just released last month: Everyday Expressions and Sublime Citrus.

I used some patterned paper to create a background and a "table." I stamped my pitcher and glasses onto vellum using Versamark and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Then, after fussy cutting them out, I took a Q-Tip dipped in pink ink and coloured on the vellum to make my lemonade.  (I thought it would be fun to make some pink lemonade!)

I stamped a super fun Everyday Expressions sentiment on a banner layered over a second smaller pink banner. Just looking at this card has me longing for a glass of pink lemonade! Mmmm!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

Hello, Sunshine

Our lovely and talented guest designer, Keren Baker, is here today with a playful, sunshiny card!  You've gotta love that citrusy orb -- an ode to the glorious sunshine she's enjoying in Liverpool.  Keren's used our Sublime Citrus set today, which contains lots of juicy sentiments!

Can't you just feel the tingle of those sparkly rays...that stitching and bling are perfection!

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone, Heather P. here today with another fun Fresh Squeezed card I created using a couple of different stamp sets.

To create my card, I first started with a medium tone gray card base (cut slightly smaller than 4 1/4" wide) which I stamped with the polka dot strip from You Said It, Sister.  After stamping all the rows, they were covered with clear embossing powder and heat embossed.  Next, I cut a strip of patterned paper and trimmed the ends to give it a banner shape.

Then I stamped a bunch of the fruit images from Sublime Citrus onto white cardstock and heat embossed them with turquoise and lime embossing powder.  To finish up, I stamped the sentiment, punched out and layered the fruit, then added my ribbon and bow.

That's it for me today, but be sure to come back tomorrow for more FSS inspiration!  :)

Release Week Day 2 - Sublime Citrus

It had to be done.  With a name like Fresh Squeezed Stamps, a set like this just had to be created and we did it with love!  Welcome to Day 2 of our July Release Week - let us introduce you to a very special stamp set...

Sublime Citrus is a sunshine-filled array of citrusy delights, including lots of fun puns, ensure friendly cards will be created with this juicy set.  Lemons, limes and oranges -- from blossom to ice cold beverage -- just need some ink and your creative imagination!

Sublime Citrus

Heather Pulvirenti shows off this sweet saying with adorable embossed and handmade "die cut" images from the new set!  This baby is patio perfect -- ready for those little sugar packets and a tall glass of something cool to drink!

OK, who just giggled?!  Tracey McNeely took this one and ran with it -- perfect color, shape, texture -- dare we say it?  It's a sunny delight!!

Erin Taylor's used the citrus image as a fabulous background then set up her "picnic table" (using an image from Background Check) for a lemonade party!  Gotta love the twine tied snuggly above that punny sentiment!

It's sweet and sour with Heather Campbell's card -- she's used the slice o' citrus to tag this card HAPPY!  She added a few enamel dots and the graph paper image from Background Check to finish off this beauty -- mwah!

A tall glass and pitcher full of lemonade...isn't that the epitome of summertime?  Leigh Penner's used vellum and embossed the images to really give them that glassy look...ah, Fresh Squeezed goodness!

Virginia Lu's inked up and stacked those lemons perfectly!  Love how the black patterned paper strip and those sequins add so much POP to this card -- it's a zinger!

Keren Baker's used another awesome technique to give this pitcher a glassy (or shall we say Glossy [Accents]?) effect.  Love how she has her ice cubes tumbling from the pitcher to the glass -- and the stitching for the lemonade stream? FanTABulous!!  Lovin' the easy, breezy sentiment, too!

All stamps previewed during Release Week will be available for purchase in our online store beginning this Friday, July 26th!
