Masculine Birthday Card by Lesley

Wow!  Time sure is flying by!!  December is a big birthday month for my family.  My sister, father in-law, aunt and brother in-law all have birthdays this month!  So I went to work and created a masculine birthday card for my brother in-law, using Subway Series: Basics.

To keep my card "masculine" I went with rich colors and a simple design.  I couldn't resist adding some cork stars!  I love using them on masculine cards for some texture.  I also heat embossed the image; to add a nice shine to the card face.

Laugh

Val here with your Thursday morning post.   For inspiration for today's card I turned to 2 different challenge blogs, Freshly Made Sketches and Color Throwdown, to help jumpstart my creativity.

Stamps used:

Background Check: The striped strip on the inside panel

Friendly Folk: the primitive star with the silver brad

Subway Series: Basics: the birthday block with the red banner highlight

Thanks for popping by today, please check back tomorrow for Chunyuan's weekly post!

Best Wishes Congratulations!

Val here with a bright and cheerful, primary colors, card.  I used String Me Along and Subway Series: Basics to create this card that celebrates a new baby.

Like Amy, I also did a little clear surgery on the heart from the envelope. Yes, you have to cut up your stamps, adrenaline pump for sure; but with a little surgical precision you will have a small heart that you can use with additional images or as a stand alone image.

For the sentiment, I masked off below the first 2 lines before inking it up so just the BEST WISHES and congratulations would be stamped.

Just a 'Lil Card

Hey!

It's Amy T and I have a quick card to share with you today:

I inked up the Subway Series: Basics

Subway Series: Basics

I stamped it on a wood panel that I picked up at a local packaging store in Seattle.  The card base is 2.5 x 4.25 so it's a sweet 'lil card.

Happy Birthday, Subway Style

Hi Val here with a Subway Series birthday card to share today!

The birthday stamp from Subway Series: Basics is stamped in black onto green cardstock.  The stripe stamp from Background Check is stamped onto turquoise cardstock.  Black ink on colored cardstock packs a WOW, especially when it's paired with a white background.

Hello, It is Chunyuan here.

I have a one layer stamped card made with Trendy Triangles and Subway Series: Basics.  I stamped the solid and the outline single chevron to point to the message which is part of the thanks block from Subway Series: Basics.

Bravo

Hi everyone.  It's Chunyuan here.  I am sharing a quick stamped card made with the FSS new release Subway Series: Basics today.

I stamped the bottom half of the celebrate sentiment block and then the whole image again on the card front. The sentiment was also stamped on color card stock, trimmed and adhered it to the card front with foam adhesive.  I resisted my urge to bling it up and keep it as a simple masculine card.

Here is the stamp used on this card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
