Love Sweet Love

Happy Thursday, Fresh Squeezed friends! We're just one day away from Valentine's Day - how exciting! Lesley here sharing a card I made for a friend's anniversary using the "potty" people from Breath of Fresh Flair and the love-ly sentiment from When Hearts Collide.

I had fun mixing some fun papers and embellishments to make this card!  I cut a heart doily in half and added some star sequins for added interest.

Love You This Much

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans!  Katie here with a Saturday double-header, two sweet cards for the little loves in your life!  I'm still thinking about Valentine's Day and this time I wanted to create a card that would work for the kids.   I hit upon a design that will work well for both boys and girls by just swapping out some colors and patterns.

Since I have daughters, I started first with the girly palette.  I was inspired by the "I Love You This Much" sentiment from Love Signs and in thinking about things that are vast, (to represent a large amount of love), I hit upon the idea of the ocean and combined a few of my favorite FSS stamps to create this scene.

First, I stamped the sentiment from Love Signs and the whale from Breath of Fresh Flair on a white cardstock.  I masked the whale and used the scallop border stamp from Background Check to create the water and waves.  Lastly, I stamped and masked the cloud and sun from Weather Through.  I rounded the corners and adhered the stamped panel to a pink cardstock base that I covered with some fun polka dot patterned paper.

By swapping out some ink colors and the patterned paper, here's the same card in a more boy-friendly color scheme.  I think this one will go to my nephews.

That's all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by!  -Katie

A Shopping Celebration!

Happy Friday!  It's Kim.  In planning for today's post, I was browsing all of my Fresh Squeezed Stamps to figure out what I hadn't used yet that I really wanted to showcase.

I came up with the teeny, tiny shopping cart from Breath of Fresh Flair.  I've done quite a bit with this set, but the cute shopping cart hasn't seen ink. Given that I love making cards that are designed around gift cards - it all seemed like a perfect fit.  I ran to the store and picked up an Amazon gift card (mainly because if I don't end up giving this card to anyone, I can use it myself!!)

The sentiment comes from You Said It, Sister.  The original plan was to die cut the gift card holder from patterned paper, but I love this very useful diagonal striped border stamp from Background Check and decided to use it instead!  The set also has four other handy border stamps but I particularly love the open stripes of this one.  I use it somewhat regularly down the sides of my cards with a little twine like this simple card.

Have a great weekend!  I hope there is a little celebration or some fun shopping in your future!  -Kim

Make a Wish

Happy New Year everyone! Lesley here with a fun birthday card/gift combo! I am so excited to ring in 2014!

My hubby turns 42 on Sunday and I wanted to make him a birthday card and a matching gift card holder.  I just used a random gift card for the photo...the one he is getting is for a local bike shop but I have not been able to pick it up yet!  This time of year is just TOO busy!

I used a new to me set called Breath of Fresh Flair!  This was one that I had on my wishlist for a long time!  I just had to have it because of the little bike in the set!  I love that it fits perfectly in my circle punches!  The sentiments are from Everyday Expressions.

Metro Masculine Birthday

Hey there, Fresh Squeezed Stamps friends! Stacey here and I'm excited to be able to share Fresh (and fun) Squeezed projects with you every Wednesday!  Do you ever have enough birthday cards on hand?  How about masculine ones?!  Me, neither!

I made this card while thinking that I rarely have masculine-styled birthday cards on hand!  My card is a bit glitzy for a guy card (maybe), but a man once told me that guys like pops of color and a little sparkle, too!  This passed the "manly" test from my own boys and hubby.  In fact, when I asked my hubby what he thought, he said "it's metro-masculine!"  Thanks to my honey for also sparking the idea for my post title, too!  LOL!

How fun is this stamp set, On Trend 2013?!  I LOVE the silhouette city scene and photo frame images and that fun birthday speech bubble sentiment!  The bicycle image is from the (also amazing) Breath of Fresh Flair!

For the card, I chose some trendy papers that fit the bill for "metro masculine," stamped the city scene and heat embossed in black on the background panel.  The photo frame was also heat embossed in black, a blue bicycle added and an aqua birthday bubble inked up and stamped...then, all that remained was layering it up and finishing it off!  I added a bit of black twine with a loopy finish (no bows here) and a trio of black sequins!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today!  I hope you are inspired to whip up a masculine-themed card today...maybe even a metro-masculine one!  Have a fabulous rest of your week!

Happy Anniversary in a Frame

Hi!  It's Kim.  As much as I am loving the Christmas sets that just came out (and I definitely have cards to share with you over the next few weeks), I was greatly in need of an anniversary card.  It's for a younger couple so it needed to be fresh and unique. I knew that Fresh Squeezed Stamps would be perfect for my need.

I am completely enamored with On Trend 2013.  It's a great set for basics, but as usual for Fresh Squeezed Stamps, they are basics with a twist.  The Polaroid frame that I used in my card has the three little stripes which make it totally unique.

My cute little couple comes from Breath of Fresh Flair.  This is another set with a fun variety of stamps - have you ever seen a set with cassette tapes, whales and light bulbs??  Plus much more!  The sentiment comes from a set of basic sentiments called You Said It, Sister.  I did cut the sentiment in half so that I could stamp it on two lines.

My layout is from a Sketchbook Saturday challenge.

Thanks for dropping by today!  Have a great day and we'll see you back here tomorrow!

A Special Adventure

Hi there! Leigh here with a card that I made using the sweet little bicycle from Breath of Fresh Flair and a sentiment from Everyday Expressions.

I had been looking through my 6x6 paper pads and came across this fun travel sheet. I decided it would be neat to used these stamps to convey the message that when we're together, every day feels like an adventure!

I trimmed my patterned paper panel and adhered it to my card base. I die cut two frame dies from kraft and cream cardstock. I stamped my sentiment in black on the cream cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the kraft frame, on which I heat embossed my bike using red embossing powder. I added a thin strip of striped patterned paper and finished it off with some twine, because it reminded me of a package.

"Suntime"

Hi there!  Leigh here with a layout to share made using stamps from several different sets:  Subway Series: Summer, You Said It, Sister & Breath of Fresh Flair.

I used patterned paper for my background, but wanted to add some stamping and inking to it.  I stamped the polka dots from You Said It, Sister below my photo and then layered a title that I cut on my Silhouette over top, using dimensional adhesive.

To create a sunburst on my background, I used some post-it notes and added some ink using a blending tool.

Using a masking technique, I stamped some of the words from the beach themed subway stamp from Subway Series: Summer.  I stamped off the teal one a second time, slightly off from the first time, to add a bit of a drop shadow.

To finish off the frame, I stamped the bird image from Breath of Fresh Flair and fussy cut two of the birds. I love this little detail, because the photos of Jonah and Sage perched on the back of the couch remind me of birds perched on a wire.

Thanks for looking!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!  :)

Hi there!  Leigh here with a card that I made using three stamp sets: the little bicycle from Breath of Fresh Flair, the skyline from On Trend 2013 and a sentiment from Everyday Expressions.

I started by stamping the skyline in Versamark and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  Then I die cut some clouds from some post-it notes to make masks for when I added some blue ink to the card using a blending tool.  I added some strips of patterned paper and stamped the bicycle. Then I cut a banner from my mat, stamped the sentiment and adhered to the card after wrapping with twine. Some stitching finishes it off!

Insta Hello

Good morning! Erin here with a fun (and colorful!) birthday card using one of my favorite FSS stamp sets: Breath of Fresh Flair. This set has so many wonderful images, and I love the little Insta camera!

I colored the body of the camera with hot pink and gray Copic Markers. The three stripes I colored with light aqua, aqua, and teal Copics.

For the center of the camera, I added small die cut hearts plus gems. The result is a cute little row of pink cameras. I added three strips of cardstock, matching the aqua stripes of the cameras, behind the stamped panel.

(Supplies - Stamps: (Fresh Squeezed Stamps) Breath of Fresh Flair. Ink: (Memento) Black. Cardstock: White, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Sweet Gelato, Teal. Dies: Banner Builder, (Simon Says Stamp) Hearts. Letter stickers: BasicGray. Gems: KI Memories. Markers: Copic)

That's it for me today! Check back tomorrow for more inspiration using Fresh Squeezed Stamps!

Love You Lots

Hey there! Leigh here with a 'love" card to share.

Sometimes I'm drawn to a single stamp in a set and I must have it. This was the case for me with the Breath of Fresh Flair stamp set -- I was totally drawn to that little canning jar image! Here's a card that I made with it.

I stamped the little jars repeatedly on my card and added some die cut hearts to fill them all! I just think they look so sweet!

I also added some banners with my sentiments. I used some alphabet diecuts for "lots" and stamped the "love you" from You Said It, Sister.

Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great weekend!
