Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy

Happy Friday! It's Kim!  When FSS did a spring cleaning a few weeks ago, one of the sets really caught my eye. It's funny how that works - a set will come out but until you see it used in a certain way, you manage to keep it out of your personal stash.  Then suddenly, you see someone use it, or you notice a particular sentiment - and it becomes a favorite! That's what happened to me with Sublime Citrus.  I finally noticed that cute little citrus slice with a heart and the fantastic sentiment "easy peasy, lemon squeezy" - LOVE it!

Sadly for me, it is the end of my term with Fresh Squeezed Stamps.  It has been a wonderful experience using these fun, unique and very fresh (!) stamps. I thought I would leave you with a card made from a few of my original favorites along with this new favorite stamp set.

The simple little circles come from a set that has been a favorite of mine since the beginning - On Trend 2013.   It's full of sparkles and circles and gems - also city skylines and photo frames.  It's just a wonderful all-around set!  The border is another favorite - it comes from Background Check.  I think I'm going to wear out this diagonal stripe!

Hope you have an "easy peasy" and relaxing weekend!  -Kim

Close Your Ears: Deer is the first in our series of edgy, chuckle-out-loud stamps that are meant to make you do a double-take and then grin from ear to ear!  This 2 x 4 mini set features a studly stag and two hilarious sentiments perfect for say, a belated birthday or compliment of any kind!

Close Your Ears: Deer

The design team did an outstanding job creating unique and quite different cards with this set.  This mini is great for a foundation, allowing you to add lots of bits and bobs from some of our other fabulous stamp sets.  Check these out...

Katie Gehring's card is crisp and clean, gender neutral, and downright adorable! Forget that ol' singing Billy Bass plaque (remember those?!), Katie's got her own Donny Deer to make her smile!

Virginia Lu's taken a mod interpretation of this gold lamé rack and multi-hued stag -- always fashion forward, we say!  Sparkly gold sequins round out this ensemble, along with a wooden runway created with our Background Check stamp set.  Strike a pose!

Stacey Schafer's made a fabulous masculine card using some trendy elements like gold ink and vellum!  She's also used a border and sentiment from our set called Say Anything. Love the stitching and rustic twine/button combo!

Lesley Croghan really mixed it up with this birthday card for her mom!  Fabulous colors and patterns, and a fun use of sentiments from Take A Number and When Hearts Collide, give this card lots of pizzaz!

Sarah Gough made great use of coordinating patterned paper on her card.  Love the Happy Birthday speech bubble from On Trend 2013.  Everything's perfectly mounted, too!  Pardon the pun...

Kim Singdahlsen put her expert skills to use with this woodsy, masculine version.  That woodgrain embossed background is perfect with the flecked cream card stock -- clean, simple and just the right touch of color for *pop*!

Pretty Pink Birthday

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans!  Sarah here with a back to basics...really basic...card for a pretty pink princess on her first birthday!

Often I find myself caught up with the latest gadgets and needing a reminder of why I love this craft in the first place - the simple joy of lifting a stamp and seeing that magical image transferred to paper!  I have a one layer card today using, count 'em - 1,2,3,4 Fresh Squeezed Stamp sets!  Don't they work so well together?

I had a vision of pink birthday balloons floating over a city.  I stamped in three shades of pink ink - the skyline from On Trend 2013, balloons from Life of the Party, little hearts (to match the heart window in the skyline - have you ever noticed that?) from When Hearts Collide and sentiment from Take a Number.

I think this could easily be turned into a sweet Valentine's card by switching to a sentiment from When Hearts Collide or A Punny Valentine!

Thanks for joining us today, I hope you get to enjoy the simple joy of touching stamp to paper today!   -Sarah

A Tennis Shoe Christmas

Happy Friday everyone!  It's Kim!  I know you're probably all done with thinking about Christmas so I really shouldn't be posting a Christmas card today.  But Fresh Squeezed Stamps came to my rescue on the 24th and I wanted to share.

We had planned to give my 13-year old son his pick of basketball shoes for Christmas. This is somewhat different from our usual approach in which he wants the most expensive and we refuse to buy anything but the cheapest!!  His gift was to pick out his own (within reason) without us complaining about the price!  As I was finishing up on Christmas Eve it occurred to me that he wouldn't have anything from us under the tree because he would have to go shopping for his own shoes after Christmas.  He's still so young - I HAD to have something for him to open up.  Fresh Squeezed and their cute tennis shoe from String Me Along came to the rescue!!

If you knew my 13-year old son, you would understand why I also HAD to include the "nice 2b naughty" graphic from Hello December!  (BTW - if you like the idea but not for Christmas, On Trend 2013 has a great birthday word bubble that could replace the "naughty" circle!  That set is also where I got the swoosh that I used for the ground.)

On Trend 2013                           Hello December

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are now looking forward to the new year!!

One Week Left...

Hello Fresh Squeezed Friends! Stacey here...you know what that means...it's Wednesday, and, more importantly, there is exactly ONE WEEK LEFT until Christmas!  How does time fly by SO fast?!

There's still time to crank out those last minute Christmas cards, tags and treats!  For my card today, I used some fun Christmas themed papers along with the FABULOUS Hello December and On Trend 2013 stamp sets!

I created a Dear Santa letter with some of the sentiments from the Hello December set along with that darling sleigh parking sign!  I LOVE the city line image form the On Trend 2013 set and added the diamond image twice to create a star on the circle panel.  What a fun card to add to my mailing list this week!

 On Trend 2013                              Hello December

Just think, this time next week, it will be Christmas Day!  The day we've all been preparing for!

Don't Forget to Have Fun!!

Hey all!  It's Kim!  In the middle of this busy holiday season, don't forget to have some fun! After all, it is Friday and it's sure to be 5:00 somewhere!!

I hadn't used the skyline stamp from On Trend 2013 and I happened to be looking at it at the end of a long day when I was wondering if it was too early for a glass of wine.  It was quite a fortuitous thought since the sentiment set Take a Number was in the new release and had the perfect sentiment!!  That building is definitely the place to be right now!

On Trend 2013                                 Take a Number

I also love all the extras in On Trend 2013.  I used the geo tag and the stamped sequins (along with a few real ones thrown in for sparkle).  Have a great Friday and I hope you have your 5:00 moment!    -Kim

Santa's Parking Lot

Good morning, Fresh Squeezed friends!  Wednesdays are wonderful because I get to spend them with you here at the FSS Blog!

Stacey here with a bit of a "wonky" feel for my card today!  After placing the panels and elements down all straight and narrow, it occurred to me that it would be much more fun with some slanting and sliding!

The fabulously fun images from the Hello December stamp set are perfect for a bit of "off kilter" placement!  I paired the sleigh sign, Santa flair and date stamp up with an image from a different set!  Have you noticed the city scene from On Trend 2013 at the bottom of my background panel?  I love how it creates a parking lot for Santa!

The city scene and sleigh sign were inked up with Versamark and heat embossed with some sparkly embossing powder for a little tone on tone effect.  The Santa flair was inked up with black along with the date stamp, while the flair image was circle punched and marked with some glitter pen for added shine!  Finally, I added some stars, a bit of curly twine and some flat sequins to give a little extra whimsicality to my project!

 On Trend 2013                              Hello December

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you are inspired to create something a bit "wonky," too!  -Stacey

Metro Masculine Birthday

Hey there, Fresh Squeezed Stamps friends! Stacey here and I'm excited to be able to share Fresh (and fun) Squeezed projects with you every Wednesday!  Do you ever have enough birthday cards on hand?  How about masculine ones?!  Me, neither!

I made this card while thinking that I rarely have masculine-styled birthday cards on hand!  My card is a bit glitzy for a guy card (maybe), but a man once told me that guys like pops of color and a little sparkle, too!  This passed the "manly" test from my own boys and hubby.  In fact, when I asked my hubby what he thought, he said "it's metro-masculine!"  Thanks to my honey for also sparking the idea for my post title, too!  LOL!

How fun is this stamp set, On Trend 2013?!  I LOVE the silhouette city scene and photo frame images and that fun birthday speech bubble sentiment!  The bicycle image is from the (also amazing) Breath of Fresh Flair!

For the card, I chose some trendy papers that fit the bill for "metro masculine," stamped the city scene and heat embossed in black on the background panel.  The photo frame was also heat embossed in black, a blue bicycle added and an aqua birthday bubble inked up and stamped...then, all that remained was layering it up and finishing it off!  I added a bit of black twine with a loopy finish (no bows here) and a trio of black sequins!

On Trend 2013                                              Breath of Fresh Flair

Thanks so much for stopping by the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today!  I hope you are inspired to whip up a masculine-themed card today...maybe even a metro-masculine one!  Have a fabulous rest of your week!

Wanna have some fun?!  Fresh Squeezed Stamps is sponsoring the new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!  It's a Make Your Mark challenge, so that means if your project uses a tool that makes a mark (pencils, pens, markers, chalk, etc.), you're golden!  Check out the details and enter to win!

Happy Anniversary in a Frame

Hi!  It's Kim.  As much as I am loving the Christmas sets that just came out (and I definitely have cards to share with you over the next few weeks), I was greatly in need of an anniversary card.  It's for a younger couple so it needed to be fresh and unique. I knew that Fresh Squeezed Stamps would be perfect for my need.

I am completely enamored with On Trend 2013.  It's a great set for basics, but as usual for Fresh Squeezed Stamps, they are basics with a twist.  The Polaroid frame that I used in my card has the three little stripes which make it totally unique.

My cute little couple comes from Breath of Fresh Flair.  This is another set with a fun variety of stamps - have you ever seen a set with cassette tapes, whales and light bulbs??  Plus much more!  The sentiment comes from a set of basic sentiments called You Said It, Sister.  I did cut the sentiment in half so that I could stamp it on two lines.

My layout is from a Sketchbook Saturday challenge.

Thanks for dropping by today!  Have a great day and we'll see you back here tomorrow!

Kim

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

Hi, everyone!  Heather P. here with a simple Christmas card I created using several Fresh Squeezed Stamp sets.  To create my card, I stamped the skyline silhouette image from On Trend 2013 in Versamark ink before heat embossing it with gold powder.

Next, I stamped the sand image from Beachy Keen repeatedly with white ink to give the subtle appearance of snow.  It was a little hard to capture in my pic, but it's really pretty in person!

Once I finished stamping the snow, I gave the card a quick zap with my heat tool to set the ink before stamping and embossing the sentiment from A Wee Christmas.  To finish up, I added some white enamel dots and attached the aqua panel to the red card front with pop dots.

That's it for me today, but be sure to come back tomorrow for more FSS inspiration! :)

You Make Every Day Special

Want to join the Fresh Squeezed Stamps design team?  We're accepting applications now!  More info HERE!

Hi there!  Leigh here with a card that I made using three stamp sets: the little bicycle from Breath of Fresh Flair, the skyline from On Trend 2013 and a sentiment from Everyday Expressions.

I started by stamping the skyline in Versamark and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  Then I die cut some clouds from some post-it notes to make masks for when I added some blue ink to the card using a blending tool.  I added some strips of patterned paper and stamped the bicycle. Then I cut a banner from my mat, stamped the sentiment and adhered to the card after wrapping with twine. Some stitching finishes it off!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!
