Shine Brightly

Happy Monday, Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here! Do you follow trends? Are you into new products, techniques or styles? Today I'm sharing a card with a few latest trends--water coloring, gold embossing and sequins! Sometimes it's just fun to try out new styles and trends, huh?

First I embossed "a whale of a bonus border" image and the "shine brightly" sentiment from Say Anything. I then stamped the border image with various colors of inks. Lastly, I lightly applied water-coloring over the sentiment. Add sequins and done!

Thanksgiving "swag" boxes

Hello and Happy Saturday FSS friends and fans! Katie Gehring here to share a little project that will be gracing my holiday table this year.

I offered to host Thanksgiving for my family at my house. This is a first for me and it involves my family making a 2+ hour drive over the river and through the woods to my house. I sent out an invite and in trying to figure out who was going to be able to attend, my younger brother (jokingly - sort of...) suggested that I needed to provide a little something to entice guests to make the journey.  :)

While I can't offer my guests gift bags filled with the latest designer goodies, I thought it might be fun to offer them a little something in the form of treats for the long drive home. I used the Subway Series: Holiday set to pull this project together.

Here's my Thanksgiving swag - striking a pose with a pumpkin.  After all the pictures I took, they may think that they have risen to celebrity status.  :)

To create my project, I first cut a piece of 12 x 12 kraft cardstock to 8 x 7.  I then used a Candy Box punch board to punch diamonds and notch both of the 7" sides of the cardstock. Next, I stamped the Thanksgiving subway stamp onto the cardstock multiple times.

Then I scored the stamped paper.

I folded the paper into the candy box shape securing the edge with strong adhesive tape and tying the ends closed with some twine. I stamped the Thanksgiving subway tile onto cream cardstock, trimmed it out and matted it with maroon cardstock before adhering it to the candy box with foam tape.

The small box on the left was made from cardstock that measured 5" x 7".  Perfect size for the kiddos!

That's all for me today!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Happy Anniversary in a Frame

Hi!  It's Kim.  As much as I am loving the Christmas sets that just came out (and I definitely have cards to share with you over the next few weeks), I was greatly in need of an anniversary card.  It's for a younger couple so it needed to be fresh and unique. I knew that Fresh Squeezed Stamps would be perfect for my need.

I am completely enamored with On Trend 2013.  It's a great set for basics, but as usual for Fresh Squeezed Stamps, they are basics with a twist.  The Polaroid frame that I used in my card has the three little stripes which make it totally unique.

My cute little couple comes from Breath of Fresh Flair.  This is another set with a fun variety of stamps - have you ever seen a set with cassette tapes, whales and light bulbs??  Plus much more!  The sentiment comes from a set of basic sentiments called You Said It, Sister.  I did cut the sentiment in half so that I could stamp it on two lines.

My layout is from a Sketchbook Saturday challenge.

Thanks for dropping by today!  Have a great day and we'll see you back here tomorrow!

Hey Santa!

Lesley here with a funky and fresh Christmas card!!! I used the brand new set, Hello December.

When I made this card I was thinking of the catchy Christmas tune called "Hey Santa" by the Wilsons. So I dug into my stash and used some music note paper!

Hello December

I love using non-traditional colours for my Christmas cards!

What are your favorite Christmas card colors?

A Home

Hey there, Fresh Squeezed Stamps fans!  Stacey here and I'm excited to be able to share Fresh (and fun) Squeezed projects with you every Wednesday!

I've been thinking a lot about "home" and "family," and with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, I wanted to create something with my own family in mind!  The Fresh Squeezed Stamps set, Friendly Folk, came in very handy.  It is a wonderful folk-art styled set with great images and a heartfelt sentiment!

The house image was stamped in gray ink, while the sentiment was inked up in an aqua distress ink...both were stamped onto white card stock   The house was fussy cut and both the image and sentiment tag were popped up with foam squares along with a cute little heart punch!  Oh, and notice the stars? ...stamped in the same aqua distress ink and embellished with sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog today!  Have a fabulous rest of your week!

Nice 2B Naughty Stocking Filler

Hi! Sarah back today with a fun treat bag that makes a perfect little holiday gift or stocking stuffer.

Mmmmm, chocolate - nice and just a little bit naughty! I've embossed the sentiment from Hello December in white and used it to cover the original image on the tag from Holiday Tag Alongs. I love that you can combine these sets for even more possibilities!

I folded a piece of paper in half to sandwich the cellophane bag, keeping it all closed simply with double stick tape. I added a scalloped edge, some flags, and sparkle with rhinestones and sequins.

                                Holiday Tag Alongs                                         Hello December

Hope you have a nice (and maybe a little bit naughty!) day!

Emboss, Emboss, Emboss!

Hello, Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here! Today I am sharing a simple Christmas card with you.

As stampers, we can all recall how we fall in love with stamping? Well, I would not be surprised that it was embossing that got you hooked! Today's post is all about embossing. There is that special "something" about embossed surfaces, huh? I decided to emboss 3 images from the Hello December set with three different colors of embossing powder.

It is really easy to emboss the images in 3 different colors. I am not a patient person, but I managed to stamp and emboss one at a time! It definitely is the safest way to keep the colors clean and crisp.

Hello December

Now go ahead and pick three images and emboss! So happy that you stopped by today!
