One Layer Card (OLC)

Fresh Squeezed Stamps is closing! Read our announcement HERE.

They're perfect for mailing and really pack a punch artistically.  The One Layer Card (OLC) requires mad design skills and we have a couple fantastic examples for your perusal.

Our former design team member Chunyuan Wu did a "bang up" job on this card using images from our Father Knows Best set in this post last May. She cleverly cut out the blast shape from plain paper and created a mask for sponging the yellow and orange ink. This design seriously gives new meaning to the idea that those colors make this card "pop"!

Karen Baker used the back side of the bottle image, along with the bubbly bubbles, from Soda-lighted to fill these bottles with fizzy soda pop. This is an ingenious way to add solid color to your image without adding dimension! This card was featured here.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to take advantage...

Washi Tape

Fresh Squeezed Stamps is closing!  Read our announcement HERE.

Washi tape is one of the very trendiest items we saw in 2013.  How many rolls have you collected so far?  Today we're featuring two cards that cleverly used washi tape in their design.  Perhaps they'll inspire you to grab a few rolls from your stash and create something fun to send to a friend this week!

Jennifer Ingle created this sunny, happy card using our clear stamp set Weather Through, with lots of hand drawn touches that turned this card into an inky masterpiece!  The bright stripes and polka dots on the two pieces of washi tape along the bottom really bring out the feeling of walking on sunshine!  This card was featured HERE during our February release last year.

And this colorful creation by Heather Campbell is so fun!  The whimsical banner is created using a sentiment and stars from A Wee Christmas.  The trendy neon washi tape anchors the image panel and really stands apart from the stamped polka dot background from You Said It, Sister.  This card was featured HERE during our September release last year.

Cloudy Without You

Hi Fresh Squeezed fans!  Katie Gehring here today with my last design team member post for Fresh Squeezed Stamps (sniff, sniff).  Time flies when you are having fun and the past 3.5 months have absolutely flown by!

For my final card, I pulled out one of my Fresh Squeezed favorites, Weather Through and created this sweet scene.
On a white cardstock panel, I masked and stamped the stitched cloud repeatedly.  Using a post it note as a mask, I stamped the sun so that it appears to just peek out from behind the clouds.  I stamped the sentiment, added a few sequins in blue tones and adhered the panel to an aqua cardstock base.

Weather Through

I will miss popping by on the Fresh Squeezed Blog to share Saturday inspiration. My thanks to all of you Fresh Squeezed fans for your kind words and support!!   I would especially like to thank Ryann and Shannon for having me as a part of the FSS family!
Take good care and thanks for stopping by!  -Katie

Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy

Happy Friday! It's Kim!  When FSS did a spring cleaning a few weeks ago, one of the sets really caught my eye. It's funny how that works - a set will come out but until you see it used in a certain way, you manage to keep it out of your personal stash.  Then suddenly, you see someone use it, or you notice a particular sentiment - and it becomes a favorite! That's what happened to me with Sublime Citrus.  I finally noticed that cute little citrus slice with a heart and the fantastic sentiment "easy peasy, lemon squeezy" - LOVE it!

Sadly for me, it is the end of my term with Fresh Squeezed Stamps.  It has been a wonderful experience using these fun, unique and very fresh (!) stamps. I thought I would leave you with a card made from a few of my original favorites along with this new favorite stamp set.

The simple little circles come from a set that has been a favorite of mine since the beginning - On Trend 2013.   It's full of sparkles and circles and gems - also city skylines and photo frames.  It's just a wonderful all-around set!  The border is another favorite - it comes from Background Check.  I think I'm going to wear out this diagonal stripe!

Hope you have an "easy peasy" and relaxing weekend!  -Kim

From Owl of Us

Hi everyone!  Lesley here with my final design project for Fresh Squeezed Stamps!  Today I am sharing a card I made with my absolute FAVORITE stamp set called Hootie Who?  My entire classroom is owl themed and so I was absolutely thrilled to receive this set!  I can see myself using it a lot!  I mixed it up with the pretty birthday sentiment from Everyday Expressions.

It has been an awesome experience, designing for both Ryann and Shannon.  Supportive and really organized, these ladies made me feel good about myself as a card maker!  I loved working with the amazing design team too!  You ladies inspired me to try new ideas and to move outside of my comfort zone with my projects.  It was an all-around fantastic experience!

Miss You

Hey there, Fresh Squeezed friends!  Stacey here with a fond farewell!  It's hard to believe four months has come and gone for my term here at Fresh Squeezed Stamps!  Time flies when you're having fun!

For my card today, I used my MOST FAVORITE Fresh Squeezed Stamps set, Close Your Ears: Deer with the "miss you" sentiment from Say Anything.   The deer head is so fun, trendy and masculine...which is perfect for all occasions.

I kept the card fairly simple with a pop of gold heat embossing to really show off this cool deer!  Some simple graphic patterned paper with a masculine color scheme went into play; and a simple sentiment tag embellished with a button and ribbon knot.

Say Anything                          Close Your Ears: Deer

A big shout out and thank you to the wonderful owners, Ryann and Shannon, and to all of my fabulous teamies!   We had a ball during our time here at Fresh Squeezed Stamps!   Thanks so much for stopping by the FSS blog today! Happy stamping, all!  XOXO  -Stacey

Crafty Friend

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans, Sarah here with my last post for Fresh Squeezed Stamps! I wanted to make a card that I could share with all of you to say thanks for your comments and crafty friendship!

Paper, Scissors, Ink just sums up everything we love about paper crafting!  I've stamped on vellum with a pigment ink, and hidden my pop dots under the strip of light blue paper. Sequins and a die cut heart finish off this simple design.  Here's a peek inside...

Paper, Scissors, Ink

Thank you so much to Ryann and Shannon for having me this term, it's been so fun sharing with you all each week and I'll miss designing alongside these fantastic ladies!

Add The Trims!

Hello, dear Fresh Squeezed friends! It's Virginia here!  Today is my LAST design team post here (wahhh...).  It's hard to believe that I started last July and it's time to say goodbye! Time sure flies when you are having fun!

For today's project, I made a Mother's Day card using Mother Knows Best.  Even though Mother's Day is still far away, you can always change the sentiment to suit the occasion!

With the right pattern paper and trims, this homespun card was really easy and fun to create.  I colored the yarns in copics and wrapped it with twine. The "valance" was created with some lace.  I also added some splatter in the background to give the design some interest.  I hope you like it!

Mother Knows Best

This post concludes my term here.  I want to thank Ryann and Shannon for trusting and giving me this amazing opportunity to play with Fresh Squeezed Stamps.  It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the fabulous FSS! I will definitely miss blogging here!  Your support and encouragement mean a lot to me!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
-Virginia

Party Animals

Hello Fresh Squeezed fans!  Do your weekend plans include a birthday party stop?  Katie here with a fun and fast birthday card idea to share that you can whip up as you are headed out the door.

I stamped the balloon giraffe from Life of the Party in a few different colors of ink on a panel of white cardstock and added a sentiment from Inside Scoop: Birthday.  I love the font used on this sentiment- it's so modern and fun.  The sentiments included with Inside Scoop were designed to go on the inside of the birthday card, but I thought this one worked nicely on the outside too!

As a finishing touch, I rounded the bottom left corner of the stamped panel, affixed a handful of enamel dots and adhered the finished panel to an aqua cardstock base. I think these bright and cheerful balloon party animals would be the life of any celebration!

That's all for me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  -Katie

Happy Valentine's Day with Close Your Ears: Deer

Happy Valentine's Day!  It's Kim!

When I realized that I would be posting here for Valentine's Day - I knew that I would be using one of the great love/heart sets. I picked When Hearts Collide.  I didn't picture using the deer from Close Your Ears: Deer, but I think it's just perfect with the "Love Sweet Love" sentiment.

I have made 3 or 4 Valentine's for my husband this year and none have been quite right...but this is it! Thank you Fresh Squeezed Stamps!!

When Hearts Collide                    Close Your Ears: Deer

Hope you have a happy love day.  If you are doing it solo, perhaps a glass of wine and some extra crafting time!  If you are with a loved one...perhaps a great dinner, then a glass of wine and some extra crafting time!

Love, Kim

Last Day!!!

Love Sweet Love

Happy Thursday, Fresh Squeezed friends! We're just one day away from Valentine's Day - how exciting! Lesley here sharing a card I made for a friend's anniversary using the "potty" people from Breath of Fresh Flair and the love-ly sentiment from When Hearts Collide.

I had fun mixing some fun papers and embellishments to make this card!  I cut a heart doily in half and added some star sequins for added interest.

When Hearts Collide                     Breath of Fresh Flair

And don't forget about the great sales going on right now!  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!  - Lesley

Make a Wish

Good morning, Fresh Squeezed friends! Stacey here with a soft and feminine birthday card using the "make a wish" sentiment from Everyday Expressions with the star image from Friendly Folk.

The sentiment was inked up in a leafy green ink and stamped over some mint green patterned paper while the star was stamped three times and fussy cut to create a sparkle effect from the hand-rolled candle. Lots of yummy birthday layers and textures went into play on my card today...plus a little splotchy ink and a few scattered sequins.
